Larissa Engangom Crowned Miss Cameroon 2014

Larissa Engangom, former Miss Cameroon USA, has brought home the crown to become Miss Cameroon.
 

Larissa Ngangoum who moved to the United States at the age of 14, after being raised by a single mother, was crowned Friday, July 25, 2014 during the 10th edition of Miss Cameroon at the ‘’Palais de Congress” Yaounde, ahead of Florence Epee Ngasse , Genevieve Abbe  and Linda Gueyap Kamdem who emerged 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners-up respectively.
 

The final phase of the contest saw a number of events, including lifestyle, fitness swimsuit, evening wear and talent. Among the 19 girls in competition, Larissa Engangom successfully convinced the jury and the public with her beauty, intelligence, humanism, understanding and respect, and was elected Miss Cameroon 2014.
 

Other coronations such as the election of Miss Social; Miss Internet won by the Miss of the day; Miss Talent and Miss Top Model title given to Linda Ngueyap. Now Larissa is Miss Cameroon, but many tasks await her, such as the promotion the national culture and being the ambassador of youths. Also, one of the great challenges she will be facing is the upcoming competition of Miss Universe that is to take place in London on November 2014 where Larissa Engangom will represent Cameroon.
 

Larissa Engangom began modeling at the age of 17, mostly prints modeling, and just recently started on runways. She is former Miss Africa USA pageant and Miss Cameroon USA.
She is a Pharmacy student in Haggerstown, Maryland, USA and is perfectly trilingual and also fluent in speaking, reading, and writing French, English, and Spanish.
