CameroonPostline.com — Following the “disappearance” of His Royal Highness Fon Cletus Giwa Mbia II of Kamine Village in Misaje Sub-Division, Donga-Mantung Division, in March 2012, a new ruler has been found. He is Frankline Kiyoh Giwa now known as HRH Fon Mbia III.

The dragnet of the Kamine Kingmakers closed on Frankline Kiyoh Giwa on November 18, just when he had returned home from the Southwest Region, for his father’s funeral celebration.
Before his enthronement, HRH Fon Frankline Kiyoh Giwa Mbia III, 32, was a businessman in the Tiko Market.

Talking to the Fon on his fresh throne, he said despite the fact that his late father had several children, he had little thought that he would be his successor. He disclosed that he had never loved that position reason why he fought against his “catching”, but that he was only consoled on the premise that the voice of the people is the voice of God. Hear him: “in the name of God Almighty, I shall rule and change this Fondom.”

The Fon declared that his first project would be to restructure the palace and give it a more modern touch and render it a touristic site. According to him, it would only be achieved with the support of all the internal and external elite; all sons, daughters, relations and friends of Kamine. He challenged all the external elite, especially those in the Diaspora, to come back home and write their names on the walls of the palace with any least form of development in the palace and the village as a whole.

HRH Fon Mbia III urged the Ministry of Culture to revoke an application file earlier forwarded for the construction of the palace. He said it was time all sons and daughters showed their love for the village and appreciated God for choosing such a nice place for them.

He extended special thanks to Dr. Calistus Fuh Gentry, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development; Simon Nkenda Sunde, Mayor of Misaje, Sammy Mgbatat Nforkemba-Misaje Section President of the CPDM party, the Divisional Officer of Misaje and the Fulani community for the successful celebration of his father’s funeral.
On his part, during the public consultative talks, the Divisional Officer for Misaje, Gilbert Acha Nkweti advised the people to fully respect their traditional institution and give it the dignity it deserves.

He said since they unanimously chose their Fon, they should readily give him support. Meanwhile, the DO advised the new Fon to avoid working single handedly, and that he should rather encourage the people to work with him for the development of the place.
